Welcome to Rocky Acres Farm on the web! Rocky Acres Farm LLC is presently owned and operated by the Favreau Family. It occupies approximately 80 acres on the north side of the Wachusett Reservoir. The Wachusett Reservoir in the water supply of Boston, the capital of Massachusetts.We are located in Sterling the home of the world famous Mary's Little Lamb. All 80 acres are used for farming. In 1938 Wilfred Favreau purchased the property from the Bosely's to maintain and operate a dairy farm. The farm was later transfered to Lawrence Favreau whom also owned and operated Favreau Cleaners a dry cleaning service. Lawrence also operated the dairy herd, then transitioning it to a Black Angus Beef herd. The farm was then transfered to Lawrence's son Lawrence R. Favreau who had returned from active service to the great United States of America. He continued maintain the Angus Beef herd while added Yorkshire cross swines and Suffolk cross sheep. Along with operating the farm Lawrence R. maintained employment off site as a heavy equipment operator. In 2002 the farm transfered to the present Rocky Acres Farm LLC. The Farm currently consists of 80 acres of farmed land including approximately 40 Simmental Beef Cattle, 2 teams of Draft Horses, and an additional 100 acres of off-site farming.
